System Tech

I have my own multi-mic Smaart Suite setup which I tend to use at most gigs, even if it’s just to check room EQ.
I know most of the common systems in circulation today.
d&b and Meyer to name a couple.

When it comes to gigs, there are a few things that can make or break a performance, and one of those is the sound quality. When the sound system isn’t properly tuned, it can result in a less-than-stellar performance for the audience. Some people might assume that the mix engineer is responsible for tuning the system, but that’s not always the case. Most of the time, they don’t have the luxury of having a system tech around to fine-tune the sound. This is where having my own system tuning equipment comes in handy. Not only do I use it to be a system tech for others, but also to fine-tune my own systems as and when.
